First Serve Opportunities

  • Breakfast Coordinator
    Contact and schedule parents to prepare and serve breakfast for the students 5th- 12th grades once every two or 3 months in the cafe room. If changes are necessary, the coordinator will be the contact person. He/she is responsible to remind parents of their scheduled date either by a phone call, postcard, or email.
  • Teen Bible Fellowship (TBF Substitute)
    The substitute will be needed when a teacher for either TEAM 56, Jr. High TBF, or Sr. High TBF is absent. Curriculum will be passed along from the teacher or youth pastor to the substitute.

  • First Impressions
    Both Coordinator and Volunteers are necessary for this ministry. The volunteers will great youth visitors. They will be responsible to maintain the appearance of the Youth Information Center. These teens should be outgoing and friendly with the ability to make others feel comfortable. Neat, clean attire is a must.
  •  
  • Sound Engineer Sub
    This person would need to fill the position of Sound Tech for youth services in the event that the regular Sound Tech is absent. This job requires the set-up of the youth sound system prior to the Worship Team practice at 4:30 PM. Music that has been requested by the Youth Pastor will be played 30 minutes prior to service times. He/she would need to be in place at least 5 minutes before the service is due to start and should familiarize himself with that evening's service schedule.

  • Media/Technology Sub
    Help is needed to fill the position of the Media Tech when he is absent. His job description follows: Set-up of Computer and Power Point Projector, ensure everything is hooked up and working correctly prior to the announcements at 5:30 PM, in place at least 5 minutes prior to service in order to switch to worship presentation, controls all Power Point and Video presentations in timely fashion, tears down and stores all equipment at the end of the service.

  • Speed The Light Fundraising Coordinator
    Plan fundraising activities to meet the annual STL goal and monies for youth needs for mission trips.

  • Drama Director
    Recruit and direct youth in skits, dramas, and human videos to be used in youth led-services and outreach.
  •  
  • Youth Fellowships Coordinator
    Schedule and plan activities and fellowship opportunities for TEAM 56, Jr. High and Sr. High. Preparation will include setup, food, games, clean up, recruiting help, etc. Details of these events should be discussed with the Youth Pastor no later than the 15th of the month prior to the event.

  • Power Connection Coordinator
    This volunteer can be an adult or a youth and should possess the desire to reach out to all new and visiting youth via email and / or phone. Information regarding visitors may be collected from the church office. Reports should be made weekly to the Youth Pastor regarding the contacts made.
  •  
  • Power Connection Volunteers
    These should be friendly and outgoing teens who will contact new youth and those who have missed more than two services in a row by email and/or phone. A log of conversation will be kept and given to the PC coordinator. Guidelines will be given to assist in god conversation and collection of necessary information.

  • Web Page Manager
    Design and maintain a website connected to the church website. Keep current information from the Youth newsletter, service times, service topics, and ministries available to teenagers listed.

  • Outreach Director
    Outreach ministries from our student ministries to our community will coordinated several times per year.
  •  
  • Youth Sports Director
    Responsible for developing mini-leagues and mini-tournaments for young people within our church and community. Organize and advertise such events.
  • Teen Bible Quiz Coach & Assistant
    Serve in the capacity of TBQ coaches, establishing weekly practice times. Responsible to transport the team to and from meets with other churches.
  • Youth Event Chaperone
    Needed for all youth events. Preferably, youth leaders and / or parents of teens. Be available occasionally for set up, clean up, or transportation for a youth event.
  • Contact Volunteers
    Convey information regarding upcoming events and activities to youth members on a weekly basis via email or phone.
  • Altar Workers
    Teens will pray with and for other teens for salvation or personal needs along with a youth leader. They will be schedule once or twice a month.
  • Youth Leaders/Youth Advisory Council (YAK)
    Participate in youth services and activities. Commit to monthly meetings to discuss and improve youth ministries.
