I'll Try It!

First Impressions is a hospitality ministry that provides a positive and friendly atmosphere from the parking lot to the sanctuary for all who attend our church and specifically to the many visitors that come through our doors. It is our desire to make a visitor's time here enjoyable and comfortable so that they can find God.

First Serve Opportunities

  • Greeters
Greeters welcome all who attend with a courteous handshake and a friendly smile as they walk through the doors of the church. Greeters are also familiar with class locations and information that can help visitors know where to go. Greeters arrive 30 minutes prior to service time and remain at the doors for approximately 15 minutes after the service begins.
  • Ushers
Ushers help to make our time in the sanctuary an enjoyable experience and play and important role before, during, and after each service. Ushers greet people as they walk into the sanctuary, assist anyone who needs to locate seating, receive offerings, and help to keep the service running smoothly. Ushers are in their place of ministry 30 minutes prior to service time and remain there until the service concludes.
  • Welcome Center Receptionist
The Information Center is a hub of activity before and after each service. The receptionist plays an important role in assisting people with information about the church, activities, and locations of classes and facilities.  The receptionist arrives 30 minutes prior to the service and remains in the center 15 minutes after service begins.
  • Parking Lot Attendant
Parking Lot Attendants locate parking spaces for attendees and provide help during inclement weather. It is their job to make the parking area a safe place for families, particularly the elderly and small children. They arrive 30 minutes prior to the service to ensure the parking lot is ready for the day and to gather any supplies needed for the day's weather
