An Invitation to Dance
One writer wrote, “Pentecost, my friends, is an invitation to dance. And it gives us the energy and power to pull it off.” The dance to which he refers, is a metaphor describing God’s invitation to His people to join Him in the work of reconciliation and the expansion of the Kingdom through the proclamation of the Gospel. This partnership began at Pentecost when the Ascended Christ baptized the early Church in His Spirit and empowered them to penetrate the whole world with the Gospel message and continues today as men and women are filled with the Spirit of God and become partners in the Divine mission.
The book of Acts is a record of the first century expansion of the Church as they partnered with the Triune God to carry out His purpose. This eight week series will begin on Sunday, July 10, as Pastor Kevin shares in his exposition of Acts, how we are still today invited to partner with God in this cosmic dance.
