MEET OUR PASTORS
Pastor Kevin Holt
Senior Pastor, Muncie

Pastor Kevin Holt was elected to Glad Tidings’ pastoral position in September 1999. Kevin had previously interned at Glad Tidings in 1985 and spent the next 14 years pastoring in Morocco, IN and Winchester, IN. With Pastor Kevin as Senior Pastor, Glad Tidings saw momentous growth—attendance nearly doubled after just his first 10 months. Pastor Kevin and his wife, Sheila, have two grown children. Their son, Kyle, now serves as Lead Pastor at our Dunkirk campus.
Pastor Josh Johnson
Lead Pastor, Hartford City

Pastor Josh has served at Glad Tidings since 2010 as the Student Ministries Pastor and Family Ministries Pastor, and also served 4 years in student ministry prior to that in Akron Ohio. Pastor Josh and his wife Angel have four children, Jason, Ruby, Calvin, and Bear, and planted Glad Tidings’ third campus in Hartford City in the fall of 2020.
Pastor Kyle Holt
Lead Pastor, Dunkirk

Pastor Kyle Holt has been on staff at Glad Tidings Church Muncie Campus since July 2009, leading various ministries. Pastor Kyle grew up in a pastor’s home and spent the first 12 years of his life in two separate rural communities: Morocco, IN and Winchester, IN. It was during his time in Winchester that he began sensing a call into ministry. He attended Indiana Wesleyan University and Wesley Seminary in order to be better equipped to live out his divine call. Pastor Kyle and his wife, Sara, have four beautiful children and began officially serving the Dunkirk campus on October 13, 2019—the day of the launch.
Pastor Ty Thompson
Lead Pastor, Muncie North

Pastor Ty Thompson has ministered in Muncie since 2009, when he accepted the call to pastor Calvary Christian Center. He has continued to pastor the congregation, now known as Glad Tidings Muncie North, through its merger with Glad Tidings. Pastor Ty holds a MA in Theological Studies from AGTS. He and his wife Sandra have two children: their daughter Hannah, who is married and lives in Michigan, and their son Elijah, who is enrolled at Ball State University.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our pastors would love to meet you! Be sure to introduce yourself at the close of service.
If you will please leave us your contact information, we have a gift for you and your family! We promise not to bombard you with mail, but we want to welcome you and make sure you have information about Glad Tidings Church. It is important to our staff that you feel cared for from the time of your first visit!
We welcome all ages and believe that a healthy church is made up of all ages and stages of life that care for each other and help one another grow.
What should I wear?
We have attendees who are comfortable worshiping in all manner of attire.
How do I meet people?
We want you to come, worship, and find friendships with others in our community. We encourage you to get connected by attending services regularly on Sunday mornings and Bible study on Wednesday evenings.
Where do I take my kids?
We have a check-in system with volunteers who will give your child a name tag and you a parent tag for pick-up time. When you enter the building, stop by the Welcome Center for directions, and a host will be happy to assist you! At this check-in kiosk you will be escorted to your child’s class. (Ministry availability for older kids varies among campuses.)
