Pastor Kevin Holt – Glad Tidings Church

Meet the Pastor: Kevin Holt

Pastor Kevin Holt was elected to serve as the Senior Pastor of Glad Tidings Church in September of 1999. Prior to coming to Muncie he spent four years pastoring in Morocco, Indiana (1985-1989) and ten years in Winchester, Indiana (1989-1999) where he pastored a church that he planted in the fall of 1989. Since taking over the leadership of Glad Tidings, the church has grown from less than 150 in average attendance to more than 700 each week at the Muncie campus and has become a multi-campus church with campuses now in Dunkirk (Jay County) and Hartford City (Blackford County). Glad Tidings (Muncie) has also undergone several building projects in the last twenty years and celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2019. Pastor Holt graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1985 and earned his Masters degree (M.T.S.) in 2009 and his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in 2012,  both from Anderson University School of Theology. Pastor Kevin is also an adjunct instructor for Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. He and his wife Sheila, have two grown children and five grandchildren. Their son, Kyle, is now the lead pastor of our Dunkirk campus.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ATTEND GLAD TIDINGS MUNCIE

Our pastor would love to meet you! Be sure to introduce yourself at the close of service.

If you will please leave us your contact information, we have a gift for you and your family! We promise not to bombard you with mail, but we want to welcome you and make sure you have information about Glad Tidings Church. It is important to our staff that you feel cared for from the time of your first visit! We welcome all ages and believe that a healthy church is made up of all ages and stages of life that care for each other and help one another grow.

What should I wear?

We have attendees who are comfortable worshiping in all manner of attire.

How do I meet people?

We want you to come, worship, and find friendships with others in our community. We encourage you to attend services regularly on Sunday mornings and Bible study on Wednesdays. We have a variety of small groups, discipleship clusters, and age-specific ministries where you can find connection at GT.

Where do I take my kids?

Our infant nursery is located just to the left of the sanctuary. For toddlers - 4th grade, we have a check-in system with volunteers who will give your child a name tag and you a parent tag for pick-up time. If you enter through our daycare doors (under the carport closest to Burlington Dr.), a host will assist you at the Check-in Kiosk. If you enter through the main sanctuary doors (under the second carport), stop by the Welcome Center in the center of the lobby and a host will assist you in finding the Check-in Kiosk. Here you will be escorted to your child’s class. Grades 5-12 have ministries in our Student Ministries Center (across the parking lot) during the 9:00 a.m. service only. On the third Sunday of each month (and special occasions), our students in grades 7-12 join our Family Service for both services, while Team56 (grades 5-6) typically continue to meet at 9:00 a.m.
